Bischoff rejoins Wolves

The Chicago Wolves announced Wednesday that defenseman Jake Bischoff has been returned on loan by the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights. Bischoff will be available for Thursday’s 11 a.m. game against the Texas Stars at Allstate Arena.

Bischoff was recalled by Vegas on Jan. 30, but did not appear in a game during his three-week NHL stint. It represented his third stretch with the Golden Knights this season.

The 24-year-old Grand Rapids, Minnesota, native has appeared in 39 games with the Wolves this season and contributed two goals and nine assists. During his two years in Chicago, Bischoff has posted nine goals, 25 assists and a +23 plus/minus rating in 108 regular-season games.

The Wolves are in the midst of a season-long five-game homestand. In addition to facing Texas on Thursday morning, Chicago hosts Central Division-leading Grand Rapids at 7 p.m. Saturday, Texas at 3 p.m. Sunday and Rockford at 7 p.m. Tuesday for an Illinois Lottery Cup clash.
