Carr earns CCM/AHL Player of the Month honor

The American Hockey League announced Friday that Chicago Wolves forward Daniel Carr has been named the CCM/AHL Player of the Month for February.

Carr produced eight goals, nine assists and a +10 plus/minus rating during 11 games in February to guide the Wolves into first place in the AHL’s Central Division. The 2019 AHL All-Star scored at least one point in each contest, so he carries a career-high 11-game point streak into tonight’s game at Texas. He also delivered one goal in each of the Wolves’ first six games in February.

The 27-year-old Alberta native continues to lead the league in points (70), points per game (1.43) and plus-minus rating (+35) while sharing the top spot in goals (29) and assists (41).

Carr will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming home game in recognition of his achievement. Belleville’s Drake Batherson (Rookie of the Month) and Bakersfield’s Shane Starrett (Goaltender of the Month) will be honored in similar fashion.

The Wolves ride a five-game winning streak into today’s 7 p.m. game at the Texas Stars that will be streamed on AHLTV. The Wolves return to Allstate Arena on Saturday, March 9, for American Girl Night and a clash with the Iowa Wild. To find the best ticket deals, visit ChicagoWolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
