The American Hockey League announced Monday that Chicago Wolves goaltender Oscar Dansk has been selected as the CCM/AHL Player of the Week.
Dansk started all three games for the Wolves, allowing just two goals on 84 shots, going 2-0-1 with a 0.65 goals-against average and a .976 save percentage.
The 25-year-old Stockholm, Sweden, native recorded 28 saves in a 2-1 shootout loss at Rockford on Wednesday before stopping 23 of 24 shots in a 4-1 win at Texas on Friday. Dansk posted a 31-save shutout, his second blank slate of the season, during a 5-0 victory at San Antonio.
Dansk has a 22-9-4 record in 35 appearances for the Wolves to go with his 2.52 goals-against average and .908 save percentage.
Dansk will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming home game in recognition of his achievement.
