Wolves add Schuldt; Bischoff to Vegas

The Chicago Wolves announced Friday that rookie defenseman Jimmy Schuldt has been assigned to the team by the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights while Wolves defenseman Jake Bischoff has been recalled from loan by Vegas. Schuldt will join the Wolves for tonight’s game at San Antonio.

Schuldt, 24, signed with the Golden Knights in April after wrapping up a dominant four-year career at St. Cloud State. The Minnetonka, Minn., native was a Top 10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award that goes to the best college player in 2018 and 2019. He finished his career with 38 goals and 80 assists in 156 games — never missing a game for his team.

Three days after Schuldt signed with Vegas, he made his professional debut on April 6 and delivered one assist in a 5-2 loss for Vegas at Los Angeles. Schuldt re-signed with the Golden Knights in September and has been on the team’s roster for the first week-plus of the regular season, but has not appeared in a game.

The Wolves start a three-game road trip tonight in San Antonio before returning home on Saturday, Oct. 19, to face the Rockford IceHogs in an Illinois Lottery Cup clash.
