Kolesar gets the call

The Chicago Wolves announced Saturday that forward Keegan Kolesar has been recalled from loan by the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights. The 22-year-old Winnipeg native joins Vegas during the season for the first time.

Kolesar has posted six assists in 18 games this season for the Wolves. The powerful 6-foot-2, 223-pound right wing missed five weeks of action with an injury.

Kolesar played an integral role when the Wolves won the 2019 Central Division title and rolled all the way to the Calder Cup Finals. He produced 20 goals and 16 assists in 74 regular-season appearances before notching six goals and five assists in 22 postseason games.

The Wolves play their final home game of the decade at 3 p.m. Sunday against the Milwaukee Admirals. It’s a Little Debbie Sunday game, which includes a free Dave & Buster’s game-play card for the first 1,000 kids through the Allstate Arena doors.
