Checking in at No. 40 is a 25-year-old Las Vegas native who joined the Wolves during the summer of 2018. Billed as a versatile center who can play equally well at both ends of the ice, Gage Quinney became a big-time point-producer in Chicago while maintaining his great work defensively.
In his second game with the organization, Quinney scored two goals in a win at Colorado. In his seventh game, he delivered the first hat trick of his AHL career to help the Wolves beat Cleveland in a School-Day Game on Oct. 24, 2018.
Quinney produced 19 goals and 24 assists to help the Wolves win the 2019 Central Division crown. In the Calder Cup Playoffs, he added four goals and five assists. Three of his goals came during the Calder Cup Finals against the Charlotte Checkers.
Quinney ratcheted up his scoring even more during the 2019-20 season. He contributed 17 goals and 19 assists in just 46 games for the Wolves. He also earned his first NHL call-up, made his NHL debut on Feb. 22 and scored his first NHL point (an assist) on Feb. 23.
