The Chicago Wolves announced Tuesday that forward Josh Leivo has been reassigned on loan by the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes.
Leivo, 28, contributed one goal and one assist in two games during his two-week stint with the Hurricanes. For the year, he has posted one goal and two assists in five games for a Carolina team that boasts the best points percentage in the NHL’s Eastern Conference.
The Innisfil, Ontario, native owns 6 goals and 13 assists in 20 games for the Wolves this season. He earned the American Hockey League’s Player of the Month award for December after piling up 4 goals and 10 assists in six games.
The Central Division-leading Wolves launch a four-game road trip Friday when they visit the Milwaukee Admirals. The Wolves return to Allstate Arena on Saturday, Feb. 12, to face the Rockford IceHogs on Star Wars Night.
