Long before the doors were scheduled to open for the Chicago Wolves’ Calder Cup championship rally Tuesday, hundreds of fans wearing all types of Wolves gear started lining up outside Allstate Arena.
The event was well worth the wait as the entire organization celebrated the team’s fifth league championship with thousands of fans. Bill Gardner hosted a 40-minute rally on the ice that featured thoughts from general manager Wendell Young, head coach Ryan Warsofsky and three of the many terrific players on the 2022 Calder Cup team: captain Andrew Poturalski, Stefan Noesen and Jalen Chatfield.
After the party on the ice, fans flocked to Allstate Arena’s concourse to collect autographs and take pictures with their favorite Wolves players, coaches, broadcasters and hockey operations leaders. For a sampling of the fun, please enjoy this photo gallery.
Soon we’ll start counting the days until the 2022-23 season begins and another championship banner is raised to the rafters!
