The Wolves’ 2024-25 season opener against the Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday night at Allstate Arena will be a special one for players, coaches and fans–and some very lucky dogs.
When the Wolves take the ice for the opening of their 31st season it will mark the first of eight Adopt-A-Dog Nights held throughout the season. Already having helped find more than 1,700 dogs find their forever homes, the Wolves are ramping up their efforts during the ’24-25 campaign with a bonus Adopt-A-Dog Night as well as the donning of Animal Awareness jerseys, presented by Campfire Marshmallows, that will be worn during games Jan. 18 and 19 and then auctioned to benefit local shelters.
One Saturday game per month, the team hosts Adopt-A-Dog Nights as dogs from Wright-Way Rescue and Border Tails Rescue interact with fans with the hope they find their forever home. In January, two Adopt-A-Dog Nights will be held, bringing a total to eight this season.
Adopt-A-Dog Nights: Oct. 12, Nov. 30, Dec. 21, Jan. 4, Jan. 18, Feb. 15, March 8, April 19.
Throughout Wolves home games and Adopt-A-Dog Nights during the ’24-25 season, the team will collect new or gently used dog toys to support the Pet Health Fairs, as well as Anderson Humane, Border Tails Rescue and Wright-Way Rescue.
The Wolves encourage all fans attending games to bring items to donate that will be collected at the Chicago Wolves Charities table behind Section 105.
Fans who would like to help dogs in need can also do so by visiting the Amazon Adopt-A-Dog Wish List to purchase and donate needed items.
