Morrow, Nadeau named to 2024-25 AHL Top Prospects Team

Accolades for two of the Wolves’ top young players continue to roll in.

On Wednesday, the American Hockey League announced its 2024-25 Top Prospects Team and it includes Wolves forward Bradly Nadeau and defenseman Scott Morrow.

Determined by the league’s hockey operations department in conjunction with AHL general managers, the AHL chose the three forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender who are projected to be the best future NHL players. It marks the first time two players from the same organization have been named to the AHL’s Top Prospects Team in the same season.

In 52 games with the Wolves during the ’24-25 season, Morrow had 13 goals and 26 assists in his first professional campaign after three years at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. The 22-year-old topped all Wolves blue liners with 39 points and four game-winning goals. Morrow notched two hat tricks to become the first AHL defenseman with multiple hat tricks in the same season since T.J. Brennan accomplished the feat with Toronto during the ’13-14 campaign. In January, Morrow was selected for the 2025 AHL All-Star Classic, joining teammate Ryan Suzuki.

A second-round selection (No. 40 overall) by Carolina in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, Morrow also played 14 regular-season games with the Hurricanes in ’24-25, recording one goal and five assists while averaging nearly 16 minutes of ice time. The Darien, Conn., native also made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut, appearing in all five games of the Hurricanes’ series with the Florida Panthers.

During the ’24-25 season, Nadeau became just one of five players in AHL history to register a 30-goal season before the age of 20. The Hurricanes’ first-round pick (No. 30 overall) in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft led all AHL rookies with 32 goals and finished second with 58 points in 64 games for the Wolves. Nadeau’s 58 points ranked second behind Suzuki’s 59 for the Wolves’ team lead and he topped Chicago with 10 power-play goals and seven game-winners. Those efforts earned Nadeau a selection to the 2024-25 AHL All-Rookie Team.

The native of St-François-de-Madawaska, N.B., collected Hockey East All-Rookie honors and a Hobey Baker Award finalist nod as a freshman at the University of Maine last season. He also received a recall to the Hurricanes and had one assist in two games. Nadeau also skated for Canada at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship, scoring two goals during the tournament.

The other members of the 2024-25 AHL Top Prospects Team include goaltender Jet Greaves of the Cleveland Monsters/Columbus Blue Jackets, Laval Rocket/Montreal Canadiens defenseman Logan Mailloux and forwards Dalibor Dvorsky (Springfield Thunderbirds/St. Louis Blues) and Konsta Helenius (Rochester Americans/Buffalo Sabres).

To qualify for the AHL Top Prospects Team, skaters must have been 22 years old or younger on the first day of the regular season, and must have played at least 36 regular-season games in the AHL and no more than 30 regular-season games in the National Hockey League during 2024-25. Goaltenders must have been 23 or younger on opening night and have played at least 25 AHL games and no more than 20 NHL games during the regular season.
