The following organizations accept household item donations:

  • Habitat For Humanity ReStore: appliances, furniture, building materials, household goods
  • Midwest Veteran’s Closet: new or gently used coffee tables, end tables, kitchen tables, lamps, dressers, and recliners
  • Salvation Army: beds, chairs, coffee tables, desks, cribs, end tables, highchairs, cabinets, mattresses, rugs, sofas, and wardrobes
  • Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago: dining room sets, bed frames, wicker/wood furniture, card tables and chairs, chairs, dressers, chests, desks, lawn and patio furniture, coffee tables, end tables, kitchen tables, nightstands, rocking chairs, and wooden chairs
  • Illinois AMVETS: twin and full-sized box springs and mattresses, chairs, coffee tables, end tables, file cabinets, and TV stands
  • Chicago Furniture Bank: mattress and box springs, metal bed frames, cribs, sofas, armchairs, dining and kitchen chairs, dressers, tables, mirrors, and small desks
