For each of the Chicago Wolves’ first 25 years, the hockey season always ended on their terms: Either with a huge celebration on the ice or the hollow feeling that lingers when you end up without the Cup.
But Season No. 26 did not fall in line with the first 25. Thanks to the novel coronavirus that spread across the world with frightening speed, the Wolves’ season was suspended March 12 (along with professional sports throughout North America) and officially cancelled on May 11.
This special podcast series started as a behind-the-scenes look at the Wolves organization as it negotiated uncharted waters. But with the 2020-21 season ready to begin after a lengthy delay, Wolves play-by-play announcer Jason Shaver shares enlightening interviews and insightful perspective as he co-hosts “Chicago Wolves: Life Under the Pandemic” with Wolves digital content manager Imran Javed.
