On a sunny July morning, dozens of Girls in the Game camp members lined up on a Union Park tennis court to learn the basics of ice hockey. Most had never even seen a live hockey game, but with sticks in hand, they watched as Chicago Wolves staff taught them how to ball handle, pass and score a goal on mascot Skates. Keeping with GITG’s mission, the experience gave the girls a chance to flex their muscles and learn something new.
