Sparks, a native of west suburban Elmhurst, joined the Wolves for the 2019-20 season after several successful seasons in the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. He promptly set the Wolves franchise record for longest shutout streak as he went 191 minutes and 14 seconds without allowing a goal. That streak, which began Oct. 23 and ended Nov. 10, featured shutouts of Tucson (Oct. 30) and Iowa (Nov. 7) as he rejected 115 consecutive shots.
