Mascot Coordinator

The Chicago Wolves are hiring a full-time mascot coordinator position. He/she will work with the Operations Department and will be responsible for coordinating a multitude of appearances for the Wolves Mascot, Skates, as well as attending appearances and events. Ideal candidates have mascot experience, a willingness to learn, strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Schedule, coordinate, and perform all Wolves mascot appearances for non game days
  • Update and monitor the website section pertaining to the Wolves Mascot, includes downloading photos and updating new content from each and every event
  • Provide content for Chicago Wolves social media department from all Wolves Mascot appearances
  • Work with departments outside of Operations on scheduling and fulfillment of Wolves Mascot appearances
  • Assist with membership and implementation of the Skates Mates Kids Club
  • Outgoing personality with ability to direct and command attention from large groups of people.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:

  • Mascot Experience
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal skills;
  • Effective organizational skills, ability to meet strict deadlines, and handle multiple assignments
  • Professional and personable demeanor and approach
  • Ability to work nights/early mornings, weekends and holidays

GROUP TICKET SALES – ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and increasing group ticket sales. The right candidate will be a hunter. They will generate revenue through the sale of group tickets through relentless outbound prospecting, internal program development, a consultative sales approach and needs-based selling.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively prospect and close new group ticket sales to a variety of markets; including local/regional business, community groups, non-profit groups, clubs, social groups, religious groups, youth focused markets and others
  • Create and develop new group sales concepts to generate new revenue streams.
  • Meet call volume requirements (minimum 60 prospect contacts per day) without exception.
  • Communicate regularly with current and prospective ticket partners through phone calls, personal appointments and hospitality at Wolves events and games.
  • Lead in the implementation of your group ticket initiatives.
  • Track all correspondence with customers via CRM software.
  • Attend all Wolves home games and other events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Internal drive to succeed as an individual while contributing to team success.
  • Proven ability and a passion for sales.
  • Ability to sell both conceptual and transactional inventory through the entire sales process from prospect identification, contact, ideation, presentation to close.
  • A strong focus on prospecting, relationship sales and customer retention.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to function in fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license and personal transportation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Communications, Marketing, Sales, preferred).
  • History of academic excellence measured by GPA and/or standardized test scores.
  • Minimum 2-4 years prior sales experience with a proven record of sales achievements
  • High energy; ability to remain focused on sales goals and work independently.

The Chicago Wolves are seeking hockey enthusiasts who are creative, outgoing individuals to serve as Social Ambassadors during the 2019-20 season. Candidates should possess a digital media background and know how to use social platforms to tell compelling stories in real time. They will be responsible for capturing behind-the-scenes content, memorable hockey moments, human-interest stories and everything else that brings the excitement of a game to life. The ideal candidates are comfortable engaging with all types of people, passionate about the game and knowledgeable/willing to learn about the Chicago Wolves organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

GAME DAY STAFF, Game Operations (Part-Time)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Chicago Wolves are seeking enthusiastic responsible individuals to work alongside the Game Operations staff in executing game-day duties for the 2019-20 season. Game Day staff will perform fan engagement, fundraising and game presentation duties before, during, and after Wolves home games (staff are expected to work the majority of games). Game Day staff can expect to gain resume-building, real-world skills in event marketing and management and fundraising, as well as learn about the operations of a professional sports team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up, operate, and manage the team’s fan-interactive Kids Zone

Inside Sales Representative

JOB SUMMARY:

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for generating revenue through group outings and FSE ticket plans. The ideal candidate is a hungry, curious and self-motivated professional ready to develop sales acumen while generating revenue. We are seeking candidates who are interested in achieving sales success, not for candidates “looking to get into sports.”

The ISR position is seasonal, with opportunity for full-time employment based on merit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make minimum 70 outbound sales calls each day
  • Actively prospect new sales opportunities through area businesses, organizations and leads provided through in-house data-capture efforts
  • Up-sell inbound calls
  • Achieve weekly, monthly and seasonal sales goals
  • Track all contacts with customers via Archtics ticketing software
  • Staff all home games with duties as assigned.

The Account Executive position at the Chicago Wolves is responsible for selling full and partial/flexible season ticket plans. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, ambitious, persuasive and coachable. Candidates must be ready to work hard at growing an existing customer base and developing new business. This will be accomplished through diligent research and prospecting via phone calls, referrals, personal appointments and face-to-face meetings at Wolves events and games.  We are seeking candidates who are interested in sales success, not for candidates “looking to get into sports.” Prior sales experience is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
