ASSISTANT SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

Description: The Chicago Wolves are looking for a Media Coordinator to join the Public Relations department and assist in all facets of communications. Whether it’s helping with a social media campaign, crafting game notes and features, displaying your creativity on Instagram Stories or pitching stories to the media, the Media Coordinator contributes widely to the PR department’s efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Work with department members and team executives to ensure consistency of voice, values, and messaging across all platforms
  • Attend practices to collect content from players, coaches and behind the scenes
  • Attend all home games, producing content for various platforms in an efficient manner before, throughout, and following the game
  • Cover some road games from Chicago on social platforms along with postgame content updates
  • Contribute to production of media materials, including game notes, publications, web content and more
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • 1-2 years of work in a media, digital, PR, or social environment
  • Strong writing background and knowledge of AP Style is valuable
  • Ability to multitask, work on deadline, and maintain professional manner under pressure
  • Professional sports/hockey background a definite plus
  • Professional experience running social media accounts a plus
  • Expertise in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop required
  • Must have access to reliable transportation as the job requires frequent travel between the business office in Glenview, Allstate Arena in Rosemont, and the team’s practice facility in Hoffman Estates
  • Flexible schedule required: your typical work week during the season will include nights and weekends (and potentially holidays)

MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER

Motion Designer: The Chicago Wolves have an entry-level position open in the television and creative department.

He/she will work with the television and creative department to facilitate the production of the Chicago Wolves broadcast and game-day promotions, as well as contribute to the management of our digital space media. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in television production, broadcast media, or other related fields. A graphic design and animation background is also helpful. This individual must demonstrate a willingness to learn, ability to multi-task and to work under deadline, and have exceptional communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on After Effects and Premiere Pro, post-production, green-screen keying, and color-grading.
  • Familiarity with Mirrorless and DSLR cameras and related media, and live production.
  • Experience with Final Cut Pro, Cinema 4D, green-screen production, lighting concepts, shot composition, and hockey are pluses.

  • Candidates must be able to fulfill full-time requirements in addition to gameday duties.

GROUP TICKET SALES – ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and increasing group ticket sales. The right candidate will be a hunter. They will generate revenue through the sale of group tickets through relentless outbound prospecting, internal program development, a consultative sales approach and needs-based selling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively prospect and close new group ticket sales to a variety of markets; including local/regional business, community groups, non-profit groups, clubs, social groups, religious groups, youth focused markets and others
  • Create and develop new group sales concepts to generate new revenue streams.
  • Meet call volume requirements (minimum 60 prospect contacts per day) without exception.
  • Communicate regularly with current and prospective ticket partners through phone calls, personal appointments and hospitality at Wolves events and games.
  • Lead in the implementation of your group ticket initiatives.
  • Track all correspondence with customers via CRM software.
  • Attend all Wolves home games and other events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Internal drive to succeed as an individual while contributing to team success.
  • Proven ability and a passion for sales.
  • Ability to sell both conceptual and transactional inventory through the entire sales process from prospect identification, contact, ideation, presentation to close.

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for generating revenue through group outings and FSE ticket plans. The ideal candidate is a hungry, curious and self-motivated professional ready to develop sales acumen while generating revenue. RESPONSIBILITIES:

GAMEDAY STAFF, GAME OPERATIONS (PART-TIME)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Chicago Wolves are seeking enthusiastic, responsible individuals to work alongside the Game Operations staff in executing gameday duties for the 2022-23 season. Game Day staff will perform fan engagement, fundraising and game presentation duties before, during, and after Wolves home games (staff are expected to work the majority of games). Game Day staff can expect to gain resume-building, real-world skills in event marketing and management and fundraising, as well as learn about the operations of a professional sports team.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Set up, operate, and manage the team’s fan-interactive Kids Zone
  • Manage on-site activations and fan experiences while fundraising for Chicago Wolves Charities

  • Facilitate team’s various charitable initiatives, including 50/50 raffle sales, Chuck-A-Puck sales and charity drive collections
  • Assist with the team’s midseason and year-end merchandise sales
  • Provide high-quality customer service interaction with all guests to enhance entertainment experience

BLIMP OPERATOR (PART-TIME)

The Chicago Wolves are seeking an experienced blimp operator for the 2021-22 season. The position is responsible for flying the Wolves’ radio-controlled blimp during all home games, plus maintenance and repairs to the blimp as necessary throughout the season.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced radio-controlled blimp experience is required.
  • Previous blimp operation experience with a sports team is preferred
  • Must be punctual and reliable with strong communication skills
  • Available to work all home games (Friday/Saturday nights, Sunday afternoons and some weekday and weeknights) from October to April, plus playoffs as needed

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and increasing advertising partnerships. The right candidate will generate revenue through the sale of sponsorship/marketing inventory including, but not limited to: in-arena signage; TV; print; digital advertising; community relations initiatives; and retail vendor programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop new and tailored programs to meet the specific needs of each client.
