DEPARTMENT HEAD – TICKET SALES

The Chicago Wolves are in search of a new leader to run the organization’s ticket sales enterprise; overseeing season, group and single-game ticket sales. This position will be responsible to create and execute an organizational plan of action that will deliver ticket sales growth and retention for all ticket verticals. Must be able to lead and motivate a team – composed of people with varying levels of experience and professional aims – delivering consistent results.

SALES

  • Build organizational ticket sales strategy and tactics
  • Examine current practices and make recommendations to refine/improve
  • Construct detailed and individually-tailored action plans for sales reps
  • Concept and implement sales and promotion calendar
  • Track ticket sales progress to-goal and augment plan accordingly
  • Deliver sales results to forecast

MARKETING AND STRATEGY

  • Manage all facets of the customer database
  • Assign and track progress of current, renewal and prospective accounts
  • Distribute inbound leads
  • Create lead generation and lead-nurturing campaigns
  • Oversee email marketing efforts; develop campaign calendar
  • Oversee creation of ticket marketing campaigns on web, print, other media

TICKET OPERATIONS

  • Calibrate ticket pricing based on annual/game-by-game revenue performance and demand
  • Manage relationships with ticket sales and other marketing technology platforms: Ticketmaster, Fevo, Constant Contact, etc.
  • Manage ticket inventory

HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Hire, manage, train and mentor ticket sales staff
  • Create scheduled commission reports as part of sales rep compensation

EVENT MANAGEMENT/GAMEDAY

  • Oversight of gameday ticket sales and customer service activities; including game staffing, box office operation and in-game customer service resolution
  • Hire gameday operation/logistical staff

GROUP TICKET SALES – ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and increasing group ticket sales. The right candidate will be a hunter. They will generate revenue through the sale of group tickets through relentless outbound prospecting, internal program development, a consultative sales approach and needs-based selling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively prospect and close new group ticket sales to a variety of markets; including local/regional business, community groups, non-profit groups, clubs, social groups, religious groups, youth focused markets and others
  • Create and develop new group sales concepts to generate new revenue streams.
  • Meet call volume requirements (minimum 60 prospect contacts per day) without exception.
  • Communicate regularly with current and prospective ticket partners through phone calls, personal appointments and hospitality at Wolves events and games.
  • Lead in the implementation of your group ticket initiatives.
  • Track all correspondence with customers via CRM software.
  • Attend all Wolves home games and other events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven ability and a passion for sales.
  • Ability to sell both conceptual and transactional inventory through the entire sales process from prospect identification, contact, ideation, presentation to close.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2-4 years prior sales experience with a proven record of sales achievements
  • High energy; ability to remain focused on sales goals and work independently.

Inside Sales Representative

JOB SUMMARY:

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for generating revenue through group outings and FSE ticket plans. The ideal candidate is a hungry, curious and self-motivated professional ready to develop sales acumen while generating revenue. We are seeking candidates who are interested in achieving sales success, not for candidates “looking to get into sports.”

The ISR position is seasonal, with opportunity for full-time employment based on merit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make minimum 70 outbound sales calls each day
  • Actively prospect new sales opportunities through area businesses, organizations and leads provided through in-house data-capture efforts
  • Up-sell inbound calls
  • Achieve weekly, monthly and seasonal sales goals
  • Track all contacts with customers via Archtics ticketing software
  • Staff all home games with duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, ambitious, persuasive and coachable. Candidates must be ready to work hard at growing an existing customer base and developing new business. This will be accomplished through diligent research and prospecting via phone calls, referrals, personal appointments and face-to-face meetings at Wolves events and games.  We are seeking candidates who are interested in sales success, not for candidates “looking to get into sports.” Prior sales experience is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

BLIMP OPERATOR (PART-TIME)

The Chicago Wolves are seeking an experienced blimp operator for the 2021-22 season. The position is responsible for flying the Wolves’ radio-controlled blimp during all home games, plus maintenance and repairs to the blimp as necessary throughout the season.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced radio-controlled blimp experience is required.
  • Previous blimp operation experience with a sports team is preferred
  • Must be punctual and reliable with strong communication skills
  • Available to work all home games (Friday/Saturday nights, Sunday afternoons and some weekday and weeknights) from October to April, plus playoffs as needed
