The Chicago Wolves “Read To Succeed” community initiative has been a successful library-based program since 1996 – encouraging more than 650,000 students to make reading a fun and rewarding part of life. For the sixth straight year, we are also pleased to offer the “Read To Succeed For Schools”, presented by JULIE, Inc. With a little encouragement, kids learn to see the fun in picking up a book.
Targeting students in kindergarten through eighth grade, the Read To Succeed program serves as a reward and inspiration for students to excel at existing or new reading programs at school. The Wolves supply free reading logs to help support these reading programs as well. Students who complete their reading programs, as determined by schools, receive a certificate for a complimentary ticket to a select 2020-21 Chicago Wolves home game. While our community and schooling may look a little different this year with the uncertainties of Coronavirus, we are still here to help your students reach their goals!
New this year, all materials will be sent out electronically to assist in the learning environment your school is following. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will be suspending all player visits until further notice, but select schools will have the opportunity to receive a Virtual classroom visit from the Chicago Wolves mascot, Skates!
If your school is not participating in our free program, you can still win a free ticket to any Wolves game by achieving your goals! Download the reading log below and start tracking your goals. Take a photo or scan in your completed reading log to firstname.lastname@example.org to receive your free ticket!
