WOLVES DROPPED BY GRIFFINS 5-1

November 1, 2026

ROSEMONT, Ill.—The Wolves saw their six-game points streak come to an end when they fell to the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-1 on Sunday at Allstate Arena.

The Wolves, who also had their two-game winning streak snapped, got a goal from rookie Charlie Cerrato—his first as a professional—but that was it in the second of eight scheduled meetings between the Central Division rivals this season.

Grand Rapids got a first-period tally from Chase Stillman, one in the second off the stick of Carter Bear and markers from Noah Dower Nilsson and Dominik Shine in the third to race to a 4-0 advantage.

Cerrato got the Wolves on the board late in the third when he redirected a Ronan Seeley shot past Griffins netminder Michal Postava. Seeley and Bradly Nadeau recorded assists on Cerrato’s first professional goal.

Kienan Draper’s empty-netter in the waning moments capped the scoring for the Griffins.

Zach Sawchenko (28 saves) took the loss in goal for the Wolves while Postava (25 saves) earned the win for the Griffins.

Chicago dropped to 5-5-0-1 on the season while Grand Rapids improved to 8-1-1-1.

Up next: The Wolves travel to Texas to face the Stars on Friday night (7 p.m.).
