The Wolves’ 2026-27 season promises to be special both on and off the ice.
To kick off the Wolves’ 33rd season, the organization has pledged to donate $3 million to local charities during the 2026-27 American Hockey League campaign.as part of an initiative the team is calling a “Season of Giving.”
The donations will be distributed to 46 organizations throughout the Chicagoland area with the dual purpose of providing financial assistance while also raising awareness to encourage others to help.
“Having worked with most of these charities in some capacity already, we know the amount we’re giving them will be game-changing,” Wolves President of Operations Courtney Mahoney said. “It’s a privilege for us to do this and knowing the impact of positivity that we can have on the community is pretty amazing.”
The charities benefiting from the donations range from Special Olympics, Easterseals, The Salvation Army, those which help educate others with food insecurities to animal shelters to organizations raising awareness and finding a cure for mental health issues—and many more.
The announcement was made Tuesday at a downtown restaurant with Wolves executives along with representatives of many of the charities receiving donations.
The donations will be made throughout the ’26-27 Wolves season with planned on-ice presentations for many of the charities prior and during games at Allstate Arena, beginning with the Home Opener against the Manitoba Moose on Oct. 10.
